Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 June 2026
This is a template document provided for general guidance and is pending review by qualified legal counsel. It does not yet constitute legally binding terms. Please consult a lawyer before relying on it.
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Tarkur platform. By creating an account or purchasing a course, you agree to these terms. Tarkur is operated from Estonia and these terms are governed by Estonian law.
The platform and the parties
Tarkur is a marketplace that connects course creators, who publish and sell courses, with learners, who purchase and study them. Tarkur provides the technical platform and payment handling but is not the seller of the courses. The course creator is the seller and is solely responsible for the content, accuracy, and delivery of their courses.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use the platform. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
Creator responsibilities and taxes
Course creators are independent sellers. Each creator is solely responsible for declaring, collecting, reporting, and remitting any taxes — including VAT and income tax — arising from their own course sales, in accordance with the law of their jurisdiction. Tarkur is not the merchant of record for course sales and does not file or remit taxes on a creator's behalf. Creators are responsible for the legality of their course content and for honouring any promises made to their learners.
Payments and platform fee
Learners pay the price set by the creator. Tarkur charges the creator a platform fee on each successful sale of EUR 3 plus 1% of the transaction value, which is deducted from the creator's payout. Prices are shown in euro. The creator sets and is responsible for the final price charged to learners.
Acceptable use and intellectual property
You may not use the platform to publish unlawful, infringing, misleading, or harmful content, to circumvent payment, or to disrupt the service. Course creators retain ownership of their course content and grant Tarkur the licence needed to host and deliver it. Tarkur and its branding remain the property of Tarkur.
Liability, changes, and governing law
The platform is provided on an "as is" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law; nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including a consumer's statutory rights. We may update these terms and will post the new version with an updated date. These terms are governed by the law of Estonia, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Estonian courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights.
