This policy explains your refund and withdrawal rights when you purchase a digital course on Tarkur as a consumer in the European Union.
14-day right of withdrawal
As an EU consumer you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal on a purchase. For digital content delivered immediately, EU law allows this right to lapse once delivery has begun — but only after you have given your express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal. Until you have started accessing the course content, you may withdraw within 14 days for a full refund.
Digital content and accessing a course
Because courses are digital content, beginning to consume the course (for example, opening lessons or streaming videos) counts as the start of delivery. If you have consented to immediate access and started the course, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right no longer applies to that purchase, except where the course is materially not as described or is faulty.
Faulty or misdescribed courses
If a course is significantly not as described, inaccessible due to a fault on our side, or otherwise defective, you are entitled to a remedy regardless of the withdrawal period. Contact us and we will work with you and the creator to repair, replace, or refund the purchase as appropriate.
How refunds are processed and the platform fee
When a refund is due, the course price is returned to your original payment method. The Tarkur platform fee charged on the transaction (EUR 3 plus 1%) is also refunded to you in full as part of a valid refund — you are never left out of pocket for the platform's fee on a refunded purchase. Refunds are typically issued within 14 days of approval; the time for funds to appear depends on your payment provider.
Creator policies and how to request a refund
Individual creators may offer refund terms more generous than this baseline, but never less than your statutory rights. To request a refund or raise a withdrawal, contact support@tarkur.com with your order details, and we will coordinate the outcome with the relevant creator.
